Groundspring.org Hires John Kenyon as Consulting Director

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. -- Groundspring.org (formerly eGrants.org) is pleased to announce that John Kenyon has joined the staff as Consulting Director. John's primary role will be to build a national network of consultants and technology assistance providers to support Groundspring's product family.
John has over fifteen years of experience with information technology systems and has been engaged with nonprofits for twelve years. His consulting experience has included a variety of

technology projects from network design to database migrations. He teaches seminars, writes and advises nonprofits on technology planning, budgeting and implementation. He created and managed the Information Technology Consulting practice at the Management Center, working with independent consultants to provide San Francisco Bay Area nonprofits with comprehensive technology support solutions. Along with Michael Stein, he wrote "The eNonprofit: a guide to ASPs, internet services and online software". Additionally, John is a guest lecturer for the University of San Francisco's Nonprofit Administration program. His clients have included Meals on Wheels, Huckleberry Youth Programs and CompuMentor.
"This is an exciting opportunity to improve access to technology consulting resources and to provide work for more nonprofit technology specialists" said Kenyon. "I look forward to working with the members of the ebase and Groundspring communities to help improve support across the nation and eventually around the world."

Groundspring is a nonprofit organization created by Tides Foundation in 1999 to help nonprofit groups use the Internet effectively for fundraising, advocacy and mission-fulfillment. Groundspring offers an online donation service (DonateNow) that nonprofits use to raise money on the Internet, an email messaging service (EmailNow) that helps nonprofits communicate with supporters, and a community relationship management system (ebase) that helps nonprofit manage donors, prospects, volunteers and activists.
